HALEY SCOTT'S DOG TRAINING
Testimonials

Tucker & Kimberly
I have had dogs all my life, thought I knew how to properly train a dog until I met Haley. After meeting Haley I realized anyone can teach a dog how to sit ,down or come. But not everyone can teach you how to create a lifelong bond, understanding and respect with your canine companion. Haley opened me to a world of understanding your dog, anticipating actions before it happens, and most importantly how to be the type of owner your dog needs. Through Haley I learned so much about the nonverbal communication cues Tucker is constantly giving me, his response to his surroundings, and his interaction with other dogs. With those understandings, I am able to use a variety of tools to navigate our everyday/real life situations. Her real world lessons are so valuable to me. She models the saying “It’s better to mold a behavior than break a bad habit” and this is something I have taken to heart. She made the dream of owning a giant breed possible for me, and managing an exuberant over the top giant puppy possible. Her lifelong passion of working with animals and her deep understanding of the animal world, makes her an exceptional dog trainer to Tucker and a valuable dog owner coach to me.

Mizu & T'nay
Christmas morning, my Mom brought us the most adorable 7lb bundle of joy. She is a Lab Cane Corso cross. My son named her Mizu, and we began taking her on every outdoor adventure. However, one week later the vet told us she should not leave our backyard until she was fully vaccinated at about 17weeks of age. We were very sad to hear this news because Mizu loved going places with us, however, we obeyed. At 17wks of age I took her to her first puppy social where I quickly realized Mizu had grown tremendously (over 30lbs already), and she was incredibly strong so controlling her in public proved to be a challenge. Once she entered the puppy social pen she was very uncertain of the other dogs. Haley immediately began coaching me on how to help Mizu relax more in that environment. Upon our second visit, Mizu had changed. She was beginning to show body language that worried Haley and the first signs of fear aggression due to her lack of socialization at a younger age. On this visit Haley could tell I was worried (shaking to be honest), and thankfully she offered me her card at the end of the class. Within just a few weeks Haley transformed our life! On our first training session she was able to diagnose all of our problems (there were MANY), and she initiated a daily training regimen to tackle everything before Mizu grew any larger and harder for us to control. Mizu was pushing my youngest son around a little so the first thing she helped us work on was re-establishing the pack order in our home. Her advice was crucial at that moment and I’m happy to say that in just 2 weeks we saw a huge difference in how Mizu treated our youngest son. We also quickly tackled leash training which was a huge problem with Mizu’s strength and size (already 50lbs at 5mths old), but once Haley showed us the proper technique we were able to walk Mizu pleasantly around our neighborhood within a week. The bigger challenges that we were facing were Mizu’s fears. When Haley met us Mizu was afraid of both people and dogs, but Haley quickly helped us transform her fear of people with a very simple solution. Today, she is the star of the street! People originally feared her because of her size and serious demeanor, but now they see an adorable puppy that just wants love and attention, and they all ask to greet her. Unfortunately, Mizu’s lack of socialization at a young age cannot be undone when it comes to her fear of other dogs. This is where Haley’s skills, knowledge, and relaxed style have been crucial. So much of Mizu’s prey drive is initiated by my own fears, thoughts, and anxieties. Haley is helping me gain confidence while walking Mizu in social environments so that Mizu can relax. We recently took a trip to San Diego with Mizu to visit my sister, and I am proud to say that every technique Haley had taught us was pivotal to the trip’s success. I was able to handle situations with other dogs being off leash and approaching Mizu on the beach, and I even walked her on tight sidewalks with other dogs nearby. Without Haley, I can tell you with complete certainty that our trip would have been a disaster. Mizu and I still have a lot to learn, but I am confident that we will have an amazing and highly trained dog with Haley by our side. Thank you Haley!!!

Obi & Olivia and Dan
Working with Haley is a delight! She is professional, patient and able to quickly diagnose root causes and provide an action plan for how to solve or manage the symptoms.
Our pup Obi is wonderful and can also be a total handful! We want a safe, active dog who we can trust off leash and is extremely responsive. When Obi began having regular confrontations with other dogs at the dog park we became concerned. We actively trained Obi since we rescued him as a puppy and knew he was a quick learner but we didn't know what how to handle this situation.
We called Haley who helped socialize Obi as a puppy and we knew offers personal training as well. We were willing to put in the work, trust and prioritize the process and, thanks to Haley, we now have a much more manageable and predictable companion in our lives. The impact was immediate (after the consultation and our first training we felt so relieved because we had tangible, clear next steps) and we've continued to work on that foundation and build momentum from there. Our close friends who have known Obi since he was a puppy have all noted his recent maturity and we are proud puppy parents. We highly recommend training with Haley!

Willow & Penny and Heather
Haley Scott worked with some behaviors we were seeing with our Australian labradoodle Willow. After 2 sessions we were seeing much improvement.I am in awe of Haley’s knowledge and understanding of the dog psyche.Just making some minor adjustments on how we were handling Willow made significant progress in a short period of time. I have worked with other trainers over the 2 years we have had Willow while they were good we just didn't see the results we were looking for. I without any hesitation give Haley 5 ⭐️
